Scrapper's Delights Facebook Progressive Challenge for February

The start of a new month and the start of a new challenge at Scrapper's Delights. This month's image is a duo of cute bears just right for Mothering Sunday and Valentine's Day as well as young birthdays, get well cards . . . in fact very versatile!

Materials used:
Scrapper's Delights - I Love U
X-Press It card
white card
spotty designer paper
inked paper from stash
gold peel-off letters
Copic pens:
bear - V01, V12, V15, V17     R29, R39, R59, R89     R81, R83, R85
leaves and stems - G21, G94, G29, G99

I cut the card base from a sheet of white card and covered the front with the spotty designer paper. The pink paper with gold flecks I made at a workshop a couple of years ago, I think I used Distress Oxides and flicked the yellow/gold colour on but to be honest I cannot remember!

The progressive challenge runs throughout February and you can find the details and how to enter at the Scrapper's Delights Facebook Page. I hope that we will see you there.

Thanks for dropping in. Take care.

Scrapper's Delights Progressive Challenge For December

Time for the last progressive challenge of the year on the Scrapper's Delights Facebook, and such a great image to finish on.

Materials used:
Happy Christmas acrylic stamp
circle die set
pennant die
silver mirri card
X-Press It card
designer card from stash
Copic pens:
skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
eyes - B21
hair - Y21, Y26, YR24, E25
tunic - V0000, V000, V01
trousers - G000, G00, G02, G14, YG17
holly berries - R39, R89
holly leaves - G28, G29, G99
hat - R36, R37, R39, R56     C1, C3, C5, Blender

I have tried to keep her clothes very pale pastel colours without losing the shadows which I think I have manged to a certain extent. The fur on the hat I am so pleased with and it is pure accident. I was a bit heavy handed with the C5 so I dabbed the blender over it to try and tone the grey down, the result was the fur texture. I tried to so the same again on a different image but it did not work nearly as well!

I actually used 3 circle dies for matting and layering. The white one has a debossed layer from a smaller circle.

I hope you will join in the fun with us to finish off the year in style. You can find the Facebook Page here. For more inspiration check out the Scrapper's Delights Inspiration Blog and the Challenge Blog. You could even have a go at both challenges.
