Horses running free

The challenge over at Less is More this week is The colours in your bedroom!  The problem is my bedroom is black and white, even the cat on the bed is black and white as are the collection of penguins on the storage chest in the corner.

OK , I admit I did think of cheating and adding in another colour from the en suite but my conscience would not let me even though nobody would ever know!  So I stuck with the black and white and used an older wooden mounted stamp of running horses.

Materials Used:
Inkadinkado Horses stamp
Greeting stamp
Black Soot Distress Ink
watercolour paper
A5 white card blank
Black Spectrum Noir pen

Method:
I repeat stamped the horses with black soot onto the watercolour card and cut into a panel to fit the front of the card blank. 20140611160222_SAM_0277Using a damp paint brush I spread the black ink over three of the horses. I edged the top and bottom edges of the panel with the black pen before attaching it to the card front with 3d foam pads. Finally I stamped the greeting at the bottom of the card. A really quick and easy card to do.

It was just as well that this was a quick card as it is getting busy round here at the moment!

Thanks for popping in. Take care.

  4. Pippa, this is a stunning card. I like the drama of the repeated stamping, and you aced the challenge colors perfectly. The outlining at the top & bottom of the panel really enhanced the main image. A wonderful & dramatic CAS card. Well done! Sorry to have been MIA for a while, trying to slowly get back into the groove. TFS & Hugs
