Scrapper's Delights have a RAK every month on their Facebook Page which is usually a free image along with a challenge to use it in. This month the image was a fence panel. I have combined it with another Scrapper's Delights image for my card.
Materials used:
Scrapper's Delights - Fence
Scrapper's Delights - Holly Hobbie Set 4
X-Press It card
Card Making Magic Complete card and box set 7x5"
yellow and purple card
Copic pens:
skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
dress and flowers - V20, V22, V25, V28 Y11, Y13, Y19, Y35
shoes and fence screws - C3, C5, C7, C9, 100
wooden fence - E31, E33, E35, E37, E39
leaves and grass - G21, G94, G99 YG21, YG03, YG17, YG67
I was pleased at how well the two images merged and looked together. I imagine Holly quietly shouting Happy Birthday across a garden or meadow to someone unseen!
Thanks for dropping in. Take care.

New release at Bugaboo
It's new release day at Bugaboo and this week features a lovely flower set.
For my card I have used the row of flowers and the large sentiment.
Materials used:
Bugaboo Digi Stamps - Flower Garden Set
X-Press It card
Britannia dies - leave strip
rectangle nesting dies set
gold mirri card
black card
ribbon roses
Distress ink - mowed lawn
sticky backed white pearls
Copic pens:
flowers - R29, R39, R59, R89 R81, R83, R85, R89
V01, V12, V15, V17 C5, C7, C9, 100
Y13, Y15, Y17 YR14, YR16, YR07, E15, E18
E31, E33, E35, E39 B000, B21, B23, B26insects - Y19, E39
leaves - YG03, YG17, YG67, G29
grass - G21, G94, G99
The image and sentiment are printed out together and coloured before die- cutting. I left it in the die to do the distressed background which left a narrow white border around the edges.
The die cut leaves have been coloured with the distress ink to match the background. The corners have a little pearl stuck on each one.
I chose the ribbon roses to match the colours in the image as much as possible.
Thank you for dropping in. Take care.

The Library Challenge
Challenge 4 at the library has Memoirs of a Geisha as it's inspiration book. I have not read this one and know nothing about it. However you do not have to know the book to take part in the challenge because you can use the cover as inspiration.
With such a striking cover I went with the colours for my card and got out my very old acrylic stamps. It was good to get back to physical stamps rather than digi stamps for a change.
Materials used:
Oriental lady and writting acrylic stamps from stash (not sure of origin but may be Dimension Fourth and they are now sadly out of business)
X-Press It card
red and black card
gold pen
Memento Tuxedo Black ink padwhite 7x5" card blank
black Polychromo pencil for lady's hair
Copic pens:
skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
kimono - R29, R39, R59, R89
C3, C5, C7, C9, 100
The lady and writing are stamped with the black ink, coloured in and trimmed down. The panel is then edged with a gold pen before matting and layering on red and black card.
If any of you have read Memoirs of a Geisha I would love to know what you thought of it.
Thanks for dropping in. Take care.

Dreamer
It's the midway point of the current challenge at Path of Positivity with the optional theme of pastels.
Materials used:
Sparkle N Sprinkle - Dream Catcher Maiden (Digi Stamp)
X-Press It card
green backing paper from stash
7x5" card blank
Copic pens:
skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
hair - W3, W5, W7, W9
clothes - E50, E51, E53, E34, E35
dream catcher decorations - B000, B00, BG01, BG45 V0000, V000, V01, V12, B15

R81, R83, R85 E97, E08, E19 E49 W00, W0, W1, W3, W5
R22, R24, R27, R29 E40, E41
The sentiment came with the stamp and I printed them off as one image. I think I used almost every pen in my collection for this one. I wanted to keep it CAS to make the image the focal point of the card.
I chose this image to work with for a couple of reasons. Firstly I love anything to do with Native American peoples and secondly I wanted an image that moves away from the usual pastel themes. I am not sure what sort of birds the feathers came from but I think I can be allowed a bit of artistic license. When it comes to the pastel colours the pale aqua and the purple are my favourites.
I hope you will be inspired to join our challenge this month. Here is a reminder of the challenge rules and how to enter.
$15.00 worth of digital images from Sparkle N Sprinkle for the post or project that the DT deems most inspiring of the bunch (based on those projects who have followed the theme).

One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

I hope you will be inspired to join our challenge this month. Here is a reminder of the challenge rules and how to enter.
Whether you are new and need to familiarize yourself with all the details, or a returning participant and just need to refresh yourself, you can always find out everything you need to know in order to enter this challenge in the 'Challenge Details' tab at the top of the page. I've provided a quick summary below. Please note that dates and times listed below are for this particular challenge only:
- Each Path of Positivity challenge will remain open for approx. a full month. Entries for this challenge will be accepted from April 2nd to May 6th, 2018.
- Add your inspirational project or post using the link up. You will be able to submit your entry until 11:59 p.m. on May 6th.
- If you have chosen to follow the optional theme, you will need to add 'FT' after you name so we know which creations to add to the draw for the sponsor's prize for Most Inspirational. While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's colour makes you feel, if you'd like to share that with us. What kinds of feelings do PASTELS personally evoke in you? You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like.
- Don't forget to come back throughout the month and visit others that have participated.
- You can link up a total of three (3) creations.
- Voting for this challenge will begin once the top picks have been determined. There will be a separate post detailing those picks. You will then have the opportunity to vote on the creation or post that you have found to be the most inspirational of the chosen picks.
- For Challenge #58, prizes will be the following:
$15.00 worth of digital images from Sparkle N Sprinkle for the post or project that the DT deems most inspiring of the bunch (based on those projects who have followed the theme).
$15.00 worth of digital images from Sparkle N Sprinkle for a person chosen in a random draw based on all entrants.
One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Why did the chicken?
I just managed to finish this in time for the Limited Runs Progressive Challenge on their Facebook page.
Materials used:
Limited Runs - Progressive Challenge Image
X-Press It card
That's Crafty card
brown textured card
7x5" card blank
Copic pens:
feathers - E31, E33, E35, E39
head feathers and wattle - R22, R24, R27, R29
feet - Y17, YR15, YR18
beak - Y15, Y17, E15, E18
fence posts - E31, E33, E35, E39
road - E43, E44, E47, E49
fields and hedges - Y15, Y17, Y19 E84, E87, E89 BG90, BG93, BG95, BG99
YG61, G21, G24, G94, G99
I would be the first to admit that I cannot draw to save my life but I had no option but to attempt to draw in the background. Fortuneatly much of it is covered by the sentiment.
In case you were wondering why the chicken crossed the road, inside the card it reads 'To wish you happy birthday.
Thank you for popping in. Take care.

Anything Goes at Catch the Bug
Time for a new challenge at Catch the Bug and being the first one of the month the theme is anything goes. This time I have had my first go at a pocket card, at least I think that is what it is called! I saw it on a challenge blog but now cannot find the post or remember which blog it was!
Materials used:Bugaboo Digi Stamps - Thank You Tulip Block
Whimsy Stamps - Party Papers (Facebook Freebie not available in store)
printer paper
X-Press It card
gold miri card
circle dies
2x square card blanks
Copic pens:
yellow tulip - Y02, Y16, Y17
pink tulip - R81, RV32, RV34
leaves - YG00, YG23, YG17, G29
butterfly - R29, R39, R59, R89 C5, C7, C9 Black W9sky - B000, B21, B23, B24
The complete image and just the tulip heads are printed on X-Press It card and coloured with Copics. I did not want the black border around the block so I trimmed it off then matted it on gold mirri card. On the back I added a piece of the printed Whimsy paper so that a longer greeting or message could be written on it.
The card base is made using two square card blanks each with the front cut in half diagonally but in opposite directions. The backs are then stuck together leaving the fronts to form the pocket. Before assembling the inside and front flaps are covered with the printed paper matted on gold. The two flaps are stuck at the bottom edge.
The centre decoration is made using the extra tulip heads and a bit of leaf cut out and stuck with gel glue onto a circle of the printed paper matted on gold. The greeting card then slips into the pocket.
I really like this format of card so I think I may do some more in the future. They do make a change from the more traditional format of card.
I hope you will join us at Catch the Bug for this week's challenge. Thank you for dropping in. Take care.

pink tulip - R81, RV32, RV34
leaves - YG00, YG23, YG17, G29
butterfly - R29, R39, R59, R89 C5, C7, C9 Black W9sky - B000, B21, B23, B24
Take care.

Path of Positivity Pastels Challenge
Now this really is a challenge, for me. Achieving pastel colours with Copics is still a struggle, largely because I do not have many pastels in my collection - yet! But also because to get the shading half way decent I use multiple layers and the more layers the deeper the colour. Having said all that I think I have managed to produce my best pastels to date - practice, practice, practice!
Materials used:
Sparkle N Sprinkle - Isabella
X-Press It card
Liquid Pearls - White Opal (for the necklace)
Copic pens:
skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
dress and hat flower - V000, V01, V12, V15
hat - YG00, YG01, YG03, YG06
flower centre - Y00, Y11, Y13
flower fronds and fur wrap - C0, C01, C03, C05
eyes - BG45, BG01
The image and quote are printed as one and made into a 7 x 5" card. Don't look too closely because you will spot the mistake. I had printed it out, coloured it and photographed it before I noticed then could have cried! With no time to do another one I have altered it as best I can in the hope that not too many will spot it. Of course now you are all looking for it!!
I do like pastel colours, there is something soft and usually feminine about them. Also Spring brings out the best pastels with the spring bulbs, crocus, daffodil, primrose and not forgetting the beautiful blossoms starting to appear on the bare trees in the orchards. Somerset is a big cider producing area so there are a lot of apple and pear orchards around and we also have a local cherry farm so more blossom to come. It's the promise of an abundant harvest if the weather remains favourable for the year all held in a tiny, delicate flower. The wonders of creation to behold.
Our challenge at Path of Positivity runs for a month and I hope that you will join us. If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize for Most Inspirational. We'd also love to find out how this month's colour palette makes you feel, if you'd like to share that with us. What kinds of feelings do PASTEL colours evoke in you? You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like.
Remember, in order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, ALL creations must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature. You don't need to follow the optional theme if you simply want to have a chance at the Random Draw prize of a $15 gift certificate from Sparkle N Sprinkle, our guest sponsor this month. You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win an additional sponsored prize of a $15 gift certificate also from Sparkle N Sprinkle, for the project chosen as Most Inspiring.
Thanks for dropping in. Take care.

April at Love To Craft
A new month already and the start of a new challenge at Love To Craft. I can't believe that we are a quarter of the way through the year already!
Today I have chosen to share a Just Because card, good to have in stock for those odd occasions when you want to make contact without a specific reason.
Materials used:
Mari Ko Creations - Just Because
12.5cm square card blank
Memento ink pad - Lady Bug
X-Press It card
black glass seed beads
Copic pens:
flowers: R29, R39, R59, R89
leaves: G21, G24, YG63, G94, G99
The image has been printed once as a complete image and twice more cropped to just the bottom flowers. All images are coloured and fussy cut. The two cropped images are used to decoupage with. The whole fussy cut image is attached to the front of the card blank that has been coloured around the edges with Lady Bug ink using a foam applicator for the darker shades and a stencil brush for the lighter colour. Finally the seed beads are used to create the centre of the flowers.
You have a whole month to create in and we are an anything goes challenge, any theme any craft. For more inspiration take a look at the Love To Craft Challenge Blog.
Thanks for dropping in. Take care.
