The challenge at Ike's World is almost over but I have time to get my entry in. I used the free image provided for this one, although you do not have to use it to enter.
Materials used:Ike's Art - Raccoon Love (from challenge blog
X-Press It card
Copic pens
Little B - Handwritten Script dies
X-Cut - Hearts die set
A5 card blank
glossy card
Various inks
The heart background is cut from glossy card which has had various inks in greens and blues smeared accross it to make grass and sky. The words are die cut from the left over scraps.
Colouring the raccoon was a challenge as I was not sure about the colours to use. I had a look at some photos on line and it seems that mostly they are a brown grey colour with a more reddish brown stripe in the tail. Having coloured mine in I think maybe I should have put a bit of the tail colour in the body as well.
Thanks for dropping in. Take care.
Pippa

Pippa, what a pretty card you have made. It is helpful sometimes to look up on the internet/in books for ideas on how to colour animals. I think your raccoon is perfect just how he is. Artisitic license!! Your card fits the Lemon Shortbread Monthly Challenge this fortnight. Thank you for taking part and best wishes in the draw. Kym (Lemon Shortbread Design Team Member).

Great card. From someone who is constantly trying to find humane ways to keep raccoons out of our bird feeders, I can tell you the coloring is spot on. Thanks for sharing with us at Your Scrapbook Place.
