Ballet Day with Bugaboo

Today is, apparently, ballet day and so I have made a ballet themed card for Humour Me Wednesday at Bugaboo.

DSC_0497(watermarked).JPG
Materials used:Bugaboo Digi Stamps - Chibi Ballerina
dark pink and light pink card
designer card
X-Press It card
Copic pens
flat-backed pearl gems in white
A5 card blank

The little ballerina and her sentiment are printed on X-Press It card and coloured with Copic pens. The three pearl gems are also coloured with a pink Copic.

The image and sentiment are trimmed and the image matted and layered on dark and light pink card. The sentiment is edged with a black pen.

The front of the card blank is lined with designer card from stash and the image and sentiment added.

Finally the three coloured pearls are glued in place.

Both my girls did ballet as children and my eldest has kept up her love of dance with tap, jazz and irish, although the ballet has fallen by the way. My youngest dances for excercise at home and does a lot of walking. Both are very active, unlike their mother! I do think the mother of this little cutie had it easy though, I remember having to get long fine blond hair to stay in a bun!

Thanks for stopping a while. Take care.

  1. She's a real littler sweetie although she doesn't look to happy with life, perhaps she's forgotten her ballet steps, great for our 'Spots and Stripes' theme at Allsorts challenge, many thanks for joining in.

  4. Aw, isn't she a darling in her little green tutu, love the pink & green colors. Looks very pretty with the delicate stripes of the background. Nice shading on the hair coloring, and the gleams in her big eyes. TFS
