All of this just to get one background piece for a card!

Materials used: Aliciabel Digi Stamp - Curious Fairy
X-Press It card
A5 card blank
Copic pens
printer card
shimmer paperpurple and yellow card
Britannia flower petal die
text dies
small purple fluffy feather
white flat base pearl gem
Wink of Stella brush - Shimmer Clear
For the backing paper:
cheap shaving foam
very old calligraphy ink (I am sure new ink would work just as well! Reinkers are good too but I do not have any).
The curious fairy is printed on X -Press It card and coloured with copics with Wink of Stella on the wings then matted and layered onto yellow and purple card.
The backing paper is made using shaving foam and ink. If you need a more detailed explaination go and see Susan's video, she can explain it much better than I can and you get to see how it is done.
The flower is cut from shimmer paper and coloured with a Copic pen. The words are cut out of yellow and purple and stuck together slightly off set.
This card is heading off to my great niece who will be three at the end of the week. Hopefully she is not one of the rare little girls that does not like fairies!

Oh what a fun background. If it makes you feel better, I took a class (paid good money too!), bought the supplies to do the shaving foam..and there it has stayed. It's a wonderfully lovely background for your cute little fairy girl. This is such a happy image, and so beautifully colored. Good for you with the pretty colors you've got in the foam too, because this translated to such a nice background. Hope you made lots of backgrounds during the session, cause it's a bit messy, and shame to waste all the 'fun' on just one background! TFS & Hugs.

Beautiful card and love the coloured bacground you achieved-I must admit I bought some over a year ago and have only recently had a go and used acrylics-not sure if it was worth all the hassle though TBH----Thank you for joining us at Create and Inspire
